COMEDK PGET for PG Medical/Dental courses:
Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is conducting the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) every year for taking the post graduate Medical/Dental courses in 12 Medical, 19 Dental colleges. Merit candidates in the PGET will get seat in the above mentioned colleges. Exam is conducted every year in the month of February.
- Candidates should meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI from time to time
- Candidate have successfully passed their MBBS / BDS from an Institution recognized by MCI / DCI
- And Candidate have completed or be completing their internship by 30th April 2016 at the latest.
- Finally applicant should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI / DCI or any of the State Medical / Dental Council
Aim of the COMEDK PGET: The main aim of the COMEDK is determine the merit of students in an effective, fair, transparent and non-exploitative testing procedure.
Scope of the COMEDK PGET: The entrance test is being conducted for merit determination for use by COMEDK Member Institutions only.
Validity of PGET Score: PGET score is valid only for admissions during the academic year.
PGET Exam Pattern and Syllabus: Separate test is conducted for PG Medical and PG Dental Courses. Each test will have 180 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ). Each question carries 1 mark. Duration of the exam is for 3 hours. And there is no Negative Marking in the exam.
PGET Exam Syllabus: Post Graduate Medical / Dental entrance test is based on the M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. syllabus as prescribed by MCI / DCI respectively.
