CSIR UGC NET 2015 Exam Pattern and Syllabus:
Joint CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test-2015 conducted for JRF and Eligibility for Lectureship on 20th December, 2015. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission (UGC) conducting Joint CSIR UGC NET exam to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research in the field of Science.
Scheme of the NET Examination-2015:
The Single Paper Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ) based test. Total duration of the examination is 3 hours. The examination is held in Morning, Afternoon sessions. Total marks for the test is 200. The paper consist of three sections namely Part-A, B and C. Negative marking will be given for wrong answers as per subject wise scheme of Exam. Exam will be conducted in the following subjects as given below.
(i) Life Sciences
(ii) Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
(iii) Mathematical Sciences
(iv) Chemical Sciences
(v) Physical Sciences
Syllabus for the Exam: The syllabus for Joint CIR UGC NET exam is given in Section/Part wise for all subjects.
Part ‘A’ Syllabus:Part-A shall be common to all subjects. This part shall contain questions from
1. General Aptitude
2. Logical reasoning
3. Graphical analysis
4. Analytical ability
5. Numerical ability
6. Quantitative comparison,
7. Series formation and puzzles
Part ‘B’ Syllabus: Part-B shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs). The syllabus from Life Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary science, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
Part ‘C’ Syllabus: Part-C shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.
