Educational Common Entrance Test (Ed.CET) is a state level exam. All degree candidates are eligible to write Ed.CET exam. EDCET is an entrance exam for for taking the two years of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) admission to select the career in the Teacher Profession.
Till 2014 Ed.CET conducted by Andhra Pradesh but after separation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, EdCET 2015 is conducted separated for AP and TS.
- Candidates should be nationals of India
- Candidate should complete Degree with any branch or they are in the final year of there graduation from any recognized university are eligible to write the exam.
Exam is of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s) and it consists of 150 questions, each question carries one mark then total is for 150 marks. No negative marks for wrong answer. And duration of the exam is for Two hours. Exam is conducted in the form of Three parts. Part I, Part II, Part III.

General English-25 Questions-25 Marks
2. Part II:
General Knowledge-5 Questions-15 Marks
Teaching Aptitude-10 Questions-10 Marks
3. Part III:
Candidate Selected Subject-100 Questions-100 Marks
It varies every year. As of now for General category candidates should get 35 marks in the exam. And there no qualifying marks for the SC/ST candidates.
