The Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) is a unique Institution focused exclusively on Banking Technology. IDBRT released admission notification for Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Technology(PGDBT) course. The programme focuses on present technologies as well as emerging technologies that can contribute to the growth of banks.

Course Name: PGDBT

Duration of the Course:  Regular full-time 1 year programme divided into 4 terms of three months duration each.

Number of Seats: 40 seats
Intake of Direct Candidates – 30 seats
Sponsored Candidates from Banks & Financial Institutions – 10 seats

Eligibility Criteria:
The Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Technology (PGDBT) is open both to the Direct Candidates and Sponsored Candidates from Banks and Financial Institutions.

Education Qualification: All Candidates must hold a first class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR a first class Master’s Degree in any subject with a minimum of 10+2+4 years level of education from recognized universities / institutions in India or abroad. All direct candidates need to possess a valid Common Admission Test (CAT) score at the time of submission of application form. However, sponsored candidates need not have CAT scores.

Application Fee:  Applicants should pay an amount of Rs. 1500/- towards application fee for PGDBT course.

How to Apply: The Candidates who are interested in pursuing the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Technology (PGDBT) are advised to take the Common Admission Test (CAT). More details of the PGDBT and application forms would be available before the Common Admission Test (CAT) results are declared.

Selection Process: 

  • The Institute would shortlist the candidates for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) based on their CAT scores. Thereafter, the actual selection for admission would be based on the scores of the candidates in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI).
  • Sponsored candidates need to participate in Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) and the selection for admission would be based on the scores of the candidates in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI).

Last date for CAT – 2015 Registration: 20/09/2015
Starting date for Online Application Registration: January 2016
Last date for submission of online application: 31/03/2016
