IIT JAM Entrance Test for M.Sc & Ph.D Admission:
Joint Admission Test (JAM) is conducted Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc) and Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs). JAM is the entrance test for getting the admission in to the Integrated Ph.D Degree Programmes at IISc Bangalore and M.Sc (Two Years), Joint M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc-Ph.D Dual Degree, M.Sc-M.Tech, M.Sc-M.S(Research)/Ph.D Dual Degree and other Post-Bachelor’s Degree Programmes at IITs. Every year in the February month JAM is conducted.
- Candidates should have Bachelor Degree with the aggregate of 50% (without rounding off) for General and OBC category, 55% for SC/ST/PWD category and for NCC candidates also.

Objective of JAM: Main objective of JAM exam is consolidate Science as a career option for bright students across the country. And scope of JAM is R&D careers in frontier areas of basic sciences as well as inter-disciplinary areas of science and technology.
IIT JAM Exam Pattern: JAM is the Online test of 60 questions carrying 100 marks. Exam is conducted in English only. Duration of the exam for 3 hours. Question paper consists of 3 sections Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), Numerical Answer Type (NAT).
