Language Pandit Common Entrance Test (LPCET) is conducted every year in the month of May/June for the degree candidates to take the admission in to the one year LPCET Telugu Pandit Training (TPT) and Hindi Pandit Training (HPT) courses in to the Government Colleges of Teacher Education, Private Language Pandit Training Colleges. All Andhra Pradesh and Telangana degree candidates are eligible to attend AP LPCET and TS LPCET respectively.
- Age: Candidates age should have competed 19 years as on the notification released date.
- For Telugu Pandit: Candidates should have BA (Telugu Literature) or BA (Oriental Language – Telugu) or Bachelor of Oriental Language Telugu or A Graduate degree with optional subject Telugu or MA (Telugu)
- For Hindi Pandit: Candidates should have a graduate degree with optional subject Hindi or Bachelor of Oriental Language Hindi or Praveen of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha or Vidwan of Hindi Prachara Sabha, Hyderabad or any other equivalent recognized qualification in Hindi (BA Standard) by the Government of Andhra Pradesh or MA (Hindi).
Exam Pattern: Exam includes multiple choice questions (MCQ). Exam paper is for 100 marks. And duration of exam is One and Half hours only. Exam is of four papers like Paper I, Paper II, Paper III and Paper IV.
After completing the one year LPCET course candidates may settle as the government language pandit by crossing the recruitment process which is conducted by the government.
