Rewa Sainik School, Madhya Pradesh State released notification for Class VI and IX admissions for the academic year 2016-17. The aim of the sainik school is to prepare the boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy(NDA). Only boys are eligible to apply for the admission. Filled in applications should be submitted before the last date 30th November 2015. 

Name of the Examination: All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE)

Name of the Department: Rewa Sainik School, Madhya Pradesh

Date of Entrance Examination: 03 January 2016 (Sunday)

No. of Vacancies:  The number of seats available in Class VI are 80 seats and in Class IX are 05 seats.

Eligibility: The candidates who are studying class V and VIII in any recognized School are eligible for taking admission into Class VI and IX respectively in Sainik School, Rewa.

Age Limit:
For Class VI – Boys born between 02 July 2005 to 01 July 2006
For Class IX – Boys born between 02 July 2002 to 01 July 2003

Reservation of Seats: For SC/ST category 15%/7.5% out of total seats respectively. For MP state residents 67% out of remaining seats. For Def category 25% out of domicile state vacancy.

Price of Prospects: Demand draft should be drawn in favour of the Principal, Sainik School Rewa, payable at Rewa(Madhya Pradesh).

How to Apply:

  • The filled in application along with DD challan should be sent through register post or by hand.

Medium of Examination for examinations for both class will be English, Hindi or any other recognised official language. The question papers for class VI will continue to be set in English and all the recognised official languages. But question paper for class IX will be set in English only. No separate answer sheets are required for both class VI and IX as ample space for answers is provided in question papers itself.

Syllabus: The standard of AISSEE for Classes VI & IX would be equivalent to that of standard V & VIII, respectively as per the prescribed syllabus of the CBSE. A few questions of a slightly higher standard may also be included.

The candidates are who qualified the AISSEE written examination, has to attend interview at Sainik School Rewa and a Medical Exam at Military Hospital Jabalpur. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and interview. Admissions are given on the basis of final merit list and reservation rules.

Limited previous years question papers are available for sale at the School counter on payment of Rs.25/- for Class VI and Rs.50/- for Class IX each. These are only for guidance and are not to be construed as model question papers, as the pattern may be changed without further notice.
