VITEEE 2016 – Exam Pattern: The question paper will be in English language only. The question paper has four sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and English. Each section has 40 multiple choice questions. For each correct answer one mark will be awarded. No negative marks for wrong answers. Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry & Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering, Biotechnology and Computer Science and Engg (Spec. in Bioinformatics) programmes only.

  • PART-I – Physics – 40 Questions
  • PART-II – Chemistry – 40 Questions
  • PART-III – Mathematics / Biology – 40 Questions
  • PART-IV – English – 5 Questions

VITEEE 2016 – Exam Syllabus: All the questions will be mostly from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus only.

Part 1- Physics: Laws of Motion & Work, Energy and Power, Properties of Matter, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Nuclear Physics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Atomic Physics, Semiconductor Devices and their Applications.
Part 2- Chemistry: Atomic Structure; p,d and f – Block Elements, Coordination Chemistry and Solid State Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium and Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Isomerism in Organic Compounds, Alcohols and Ethers, Carbonyl Compounds, Carboxylic Acids and their derivatives, Organic Nitrogen Compounds
Part 3- Mathematics: Applications of Matrices and Determinants, Complex Numbers, Analytical Geometry of two dimensions, Vector Algebra, Analytical Geometry of Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and its Applications, Differential Equations, Probability Distributions and Discrete Mathematics
Biology: Taxonomy, Cell and Molecular Biology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Human health and diseases, Plant physiology, Biochemistry, Human physiology, Biotechnology and its applications and Biodiversity, ecology and environment
Part 4- English: Comprehension, English Grammar and Pronunciation
