upRBI Grade B Officer Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2015: Many candidates will apply for Reserve Bank of India (RBI) 134 Grade B Officer posts. Applicants must looking for the syllabus and scheme of examination. We are providing the RBI Grade B Officer Syllabus & Exam Pattern for the applicants. Syllabus & Exam Pattern will help the candidates to get the good score in the exam.

RBI Grade B Officer Scheme of examination:

Phase I Exam: Phase I exam is online examination. And exam is conducted for 200 marks.Duration of the exam is Two hours or 120 minutes.

Phase II Exam: Phase II exam is also online examination. And test is conducted for 300 marks. Duration of the exam is Four and half hours. Candidates will chose one subject out of 3 subjects in Paper III.

RBI Grade B Officer Syllabus:

Phase I Exam: Exam syllabus cover General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. candidates who qualified in the phase I are called for the Phase II exam.

Phase II exam:

Paper I-Economic and Social Issues: Growth and Development – Measurement of growth: National Income and per capita income – Poverty Alleviation and Employment Generation in India – Sustainable Development and Environmental issues. Economic Reforms in India – Industrial and Labour Policy – Monetary and Fiscal Policy – Privatization – Role of Economic Planning. Globalization – Opening up of the Indian Economy – Balance of Payments, Export-Import Policy – International Economic Institutions – IMF and World Bank – WTO – Regional Economic Co-operation. Social Structure in India – Multiculturalism – Demographic Trends – Urbanization and Migration – Gender Issues – Social Justice : Positive Discrimination in favor of the under privileged – Social Movements – Indian Political System – Human Development – Social Sectors in India, Health and Education.

Paper II-English (writing Skills): Paper will concentrate on writing skills including expression and understanding of the topic..

Paper III:
(a) Finance & Management: Financial System– Regulators of Banks and Financial Institutions, Reserve Bank of India- functions and conduct of monetary policy, Banking System in India, Financial Institutions – SIDBI, EXIM, NABARD, NHB. Financial Markets– Primary and Secondary Markets (Forex, Money, Bond, Equity,etc.), functions, instruments, recent developments. General Topics– Risk Management in Banking Sector, Basics of Derivatives: Forward, Futures and Swap and other topics.
(b) Economics: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, Public Economics, India’s Economy and Development Issues.
(c) Statistics: Probability, Statistical Methods, Linear Models, Statistical inference, Multivariate Analysis, Optimization Techniques and Statistical Quality Control, Sample Surveys and Design of Experiments, Applied Economic Statistics , Vital Statistics,Numerical  analysis, Basic Computer Applications.
